I am originally from Cresco, Iowa. Growing up, I spent countless hours on my family’s farm raising and exhibiting Simmental breeding stock through 4-H. I was introduced to the swine industry at a young age, as many of my family members are involved in swine production in northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota. I attended Iowa State University for my undergraduate studies, and I spent summers participating in swine internships – including a summer internship with Swine Vet Center. I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 from Iowa State University. I currently live in Mankato, Minnesota with my fiancé Connor. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking, and staying active.
